Denver Small Business Emergency Relief Fund

On March 19, 2020, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock informed citizens of a $4 million dollar relief fund the city government is currently working on. The fund will make available to small businesses located in the city and county of Denver a one-time grant of $7,500. This is meant to be a city-wide program prioritizing industries most impacted by COVID-19 such as the food industry, nail salons, barbershops, home childcare providers, and retail shops.

These grants may be rolled out in monthly phases, with the first applications due by March 31, 2020. After such date, applications will be due on the last day of the month thereafter for the duration of the program. Funds will be distributed based on availability and community need.

The first step in obtaining a grant is to provide information about how your small business is being impacted by COVID-19 at the following link: https://www.denvergov.org/content/denvergov/en/environmental-health/news/coronavirus-info/support-services/small-business-emergency-relief-program-form.html.

Upon submission of the online form, a staff member of the Denver Economic Development and Opportunity will evaluate the responses and will be in contact to provide further information and help identify the proper assistance.
